Chandler Moore
Good News

Written by on 27th October 2023

Whether you’ve been a follower of Christ for a long time or you aren’t sure what you believe, “Good News” extends the simple Gospel truth:

If you’re breathing, it’s for you: An empty grave
To a life that’s changed
It all points to Jesus’ name
If you’ve been searching and nothing’s been working
I’ve got good news: Jesus loves you

In the midst of conflicting opinions and depressing headlines, Maverick City Music brings a straightforward message of bold, bright hope on “Good News.” More than anything, the award-winning collective wants the world to know one thing: Jesus loves you. With a memorable tribal beat and a warm invitation to taste and see that the Lord is good, “Good News” features lead vocals from Chandler Moore and Todd Galberth.

Before the upbeat track comes to a close, Maverick City Music borrows lines from well-known standards about the love of Jesus, including John Mark McMillan’s “How He Loves” and Sunday School classics “Jesus Loves the Little Children” and “Jesus Loves Me.” It’s a subtle, timeless reminder that while there are a lot of things in this life that will inevitably change, the love of Jesus is not one of them.

Chandler Moore is a singer, songwriter, and Worship leader. You might know him from his partnership with Maverick City Music. They are a collective of worshippers who are committed to deconstructing unspoken rules that exist in the CCM and Gospel world.

Chandler is originally from Charleston, South Carolina, where he attended the church where his father was a pastor. He has had the great opportunity to collaborate with other artists like Justin Bieber, Steffany Gretzinger, Dante Bowe, and Elevation Worship on projects like Old Church Basement, “Voice of God,” and “Where Do I Fit In.” Before that, he was a background vocalist for Travis Greene and wrote various songs featured on projects by Bri Babineaux and Tye Tribbett. In 2020, Chandler debuted my first solo album, Feelings, after releasing a series of singles over the years before that.

Chandler lives with his wife, Hannah, and three amazing children. His pursuit in life is simple: to live a life worthy of my calling.
